Kim Michel

Born in Sweden, Kim Michel studied industrial design at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. He currently serves as the Chief Design Officer at Jamo and is also a Co-Founder of the interior design company Palett3.

Throughout his career, Kim has collaborated with a range of companies and brands, including Semcon, Electrolux, Jacob Jensen Design, Ecovacs, TP-Link, Zanussi, AEG, and Jamo. His diverse experience spans both consulting and in-house roles across Europe, the US, and China.

In 2019, Kim joined Jacob Jensen Design as Creative Director for the Greater China region, where he worked with an international team to create innovative design solutions and enhance brand identities. He played a pivotal role in establishing Jacob Jensen Design as a respected consultancy in China, eventually advancing to Global Design Director and General Manager for the China operations.

In 2023, Kim relocated back to Sweden and was appointed Chief Design Officer for Jamo Ltd., assisting the new owners in revitalizing the brand to its former glory.

Throughout his journey, Kim has contributed to numerous award-winning projects, receiving accolades from organizations such as Red Dot, iF, and Good Design®. His work has been featured in various publications and exhibitions, underscoring his commitment to excellence in the field of design.
