Passing Mirror

Inspired by Jewish co-creators of the Glasgow School and the Viennese Secession, and by utilizing furniture, object, and interior design as tools of self- identification and resilience, the project abstracts queer symbolism into heirloom furniture to expand queer design and inclusion. The Passing Mirror is the first, most public piece, will be two wall-mounted full-length entryway mirrors. The pieces will provide an opportunity to check one’s reflection and presentation of self to the world. One’s projected image, whether in dress or home furnishings, is a reflection of identity.
