More than a third of Americans report feeling lonely, a problem which has only worsened since the outbreak of Covid-19. Simple coping methods - such as adding structure to your day, maintaining connections, and enjoying outdoor activities - overlap with the benefits of home gardens. However, there are also many common barriers to beginner gardeners including time and space constraints, lack of knowledge, and financial resources. Beyond addressing the barriers of starting a home garden, this project works to enhance the ways community can be found through growing and sharing food with neighbors
