Acheulean Bowls

Gesture-based ‘Acheulean bowl’ is designed for a better grip when held in the palm of your hand. Each bowl is slip-cast using a one-part mold and hand finished with lead free, food safe glazing in matte and gloss finishes. The concept for the bowls were developed from a research on the ancient Oldowan industry. The teardrop-shaped Oldowan tools were multi-faceted, designed for dexterous tasks and better grip. The ‘Acheulean Bowl’ takes cues from this primal style for a gesture-based, intuitive experience.
