Benu works to decrease plastic pollution on a consumer level. Through secondary research, we quickly found that currently established cleanup programs and recycling systems are insufficient and inconsistent. The current linear economy promotes a single-use lifestyle that dismisses the plastic’s potential by prioritizing disposal over reuse, leaving consumers with no choice but to discard and forget. Benu focuses on implementing a circular economy involving everyday shoppers and everyday items. Benu provides a variety of disassemblable products accessible through vending machines in stores.
