MULTIFUNCTION SAFETY HELMET
After the sketching phase started in late 2014, during the last five years, this helmet was developed respecting technical specification of the rules UNI EN 397 and UNI EN 14052. In 2017, the helmet has achieved the Italian Patent. This industrial design was commissioned by Ferretti Engineering, an Italian company involved in civil construction and refurbishment works of industrial sites. The main goal of this design is protect the workers with a multifunction protection helmet, useful during the work operations in hard conditions, under remote control.

Bio
Marco Abbate is Licensed Architect, Ph.D. Yacht Designer for Sustainable Product, Adjunct Professor at Politecnico di Milano, Technical Advisor at the Court of Bergamo, member at RINA-UK. I am a designer since 1989 and my interests range among building renovations, houses architecture, historical buildings restoration. As Industrial and FF&E designer, I drew cafes, restaurants, hotels and shops. Moreover, I designed safety helmets. As Ph.D.-Yacht Designer, I designed hybrid propelled boats, supported by photovoltaic technology, and conducted studies for removal architectural barriers aboard.
