uNav provides an alternative self service interface to navigate and select onscreen items. Designed to improve reach, and also as a tactilely discernible input device with integrated private audio. Users with impaired vision, reading difficulties or impaired fine motor skills can navigate through menus or directories that would typically be presented on a visual display or touch screen. Screen content is presented and summarised by recorded or synthesized language via a headset or handset. The uNav has been successfully tested with blind and visually impaired users in UK and USA.
