It’s important to be aware of our surroundings, but many of us choose to wear headphones that prevent us from hearing the world around us. Bone conduction headphones leave the ear open, and therefore do not block external stimuli. While the technology used in bone conduction headphones has been around for a while, the range of various design aesthetics is relatively small. I wanted to design a pair of bone conduction headphones that could be worn as an accessory and would appeal to someone, who might not want to buy one of the more athletic or sporty style models currently on the market.
