Plinth

The project was to craft an entryway bench predominantly from cement, in my design I chose to leveraging its weight as a unique feature. I aimed to transform this drawback into a defining aspect of the design. My concept involved a cantilevered seating platform, imbuing a floating sensation when occupied. Opting for cherry wood, I sought its warm hue and the striking contrast between sapwood and corewood to complement the cement element.
