Boxing Prototype CX

The 'Boxing Prototype CX' is a sports shoe inspired by Converse's CX line of athletic shoes. Converse's presences in sports footwear has changed very much since the 1970s and onward. As a enjoyer of their design language and a lover of boxing, I was surprised by the brand's absence in the sport. Converse's silhouette and legacy materials in their Chuck 70 and CX lines would complement the sport of boxing perfectly, in my opinion. The shoes I designed combine 3D woven canvas uppers with midsoles that wrap around the foot, accented with vulcanized rubber treads shaped to encourage quick pivots.
