HomeSenseALS is a self-management app for people with Amyotrophic Lateral Schlerosis, where universal design concerns materialized through non-stigmatising graphics, and redundant (visual and textual) guidance for self-collection of health data.

Bio Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS is a centre conducting research and development of digital technologies, mainly for the sectors of health and of manufacturing. The centre is composed of a multidisciplinary team with backgrounds in design (service, interaction, industrial), healthcare, informatics, electronics, data science and biomedical engineering.
