Waveguard

Waveguard attempts to combat the rising deaths and injuries related to drowning. Over 236,000 drowning deaths occur every year and 96% of those deaths occur out in open water, primarily along beaches and shorelines. Waveguard's solution is an easily deployable, remotely-operated drone intended to land near a victim at risk of drowning. Upon landing in the water, the drone converts to a sailing configuration and the victim is given instructions via an onboard loudspeaker to board the craft. Once boarded, the drone sails to safety and the victim is saved.
