ILALO

There are 642 million bottles of wine tossed every year. It takes 1 million years for glass bottles to decompose in the environment, making glass one of the longest-lasting artificial materials. ILALO is a packaging design concept for wine that hints at the idea of circular economy. The product is created with the intent of providing a second service after it has been used for its initial purpose. Made from 100% recycled glass, ILALO's organic form and its possibility of removing the lid creates an opportunity for the bottle to be repurposed as an elegant and unique vase.
