Too often, outdoor social gatherings move inside once the sun goes down. Lua was designed to encourage people to spend more time outside afterdark. It does this by offering soft light paired with an aesthetic form, in addition to fun, physical interaction opportunities through its portability andadjustability. To transport, the user can press the top, to reveal a pop-up handle. To adjust, the user can pull the string to turn it on and off, and controlbrightness. By incorporating playfulness and inviting illumination, Lua fosters social interaction outside.
