Outside the Box

I hear the term “thinking outside the box” , what does that really mean? With that thought as my catalyst, I started thinking: take an object, that is all too familiar and full of per-determined expectations, and transform it into an entirely new experience. This is my energy for creation; the want to excite the physical senses visually and move to the tactile “gotta touch it”. So, take a box and change the surface, and the way it’s perceived is different for everyone. For some, it might look like an artifact; but for others, it might be something that they have never seen before.
