To meet the needs of new office design concepts, schneider+schumacher, working with the Swiss lighting company Regent, has created a standing luminaire. The Lightpad’s timeless simple design fits into every type of working environment and minimises visual clutter. It provides optimal lighting via modular luminaires fitted with LED technology, and offers double-asymmetric lighting. With just one stanchion it can provide uniform illumination for a group of desks with up to four workplaces. The light’s controls and sensor technology are integrated into the stanchion.

Bio
Till Schneider and Michael Schumacher founded schneider+schumacher in Frankfurt am Main in 1988. Their legendary information box, erected shortly after reunification on what was then the largest construction site in Berlin, brought the office worldwide recognition. Since then more than 100 buildings, urban development projects and numerous product designs have emerged. The office’s spectrum ranges from housing to industrial buildings, a highway church to high-rises, and from museum work to a particle accelerator.
