Produced out of a desire to minimise waste and
utilise wood not traditionally used in
cabinetry, the Resin River Tables feature the
full width of local hardwood boards. Often
able to be traced to the individual tree and
all harvested within 50 miles of my workshop.
These are also sustainably harvested as a by
product of local tree surgeons which are then
cut for timber rather than waste the wood.
The full board is used and joined with a
resin river which can be pigmented in any
colour and LED backlit if required.
There are two variations of the one Resin
River design; one with a contrasting wooden
base which is inspired by Scandinavian design
and one with simple steel legs which is sleek
and minimal and also packs flat for ease of
shipping worldwide. Each piece is fully
handmade by British Craftsmen supporting
sustainable cottage industries and completely
unique and customisable.
The resin is attractive, but also tough and
has stood the test of time in a busy coffee
shop environment, truly functional art.
