The Monza clock is the attempt of the Italian clockmaker Alessandro Rigotto and the designer Enrico Ferraris to combine in one creation a high-quality handcrafted timekeeper with contemporary design and flow.
In particular, the clock has certain mechanical complications, one of which is planetary gearing. Yet, at the same time, it combines not only mechanical research and clockmaking technique but also a design study that, inspired by the forms and motifs of the 70s, the cars and objects of that era, tries to create a product with a strongly evocative appearance.

Bio
Established in 2016 in Milan, the cradle of European culture, fashion and design, a creative label Meccaniche Orologi Milano (MOM) is a small young family company founded by Alessandro Rigotto, a member at the AHCI, Horological Academy of Independent Creators. The essential goal of the company is to combine the Italian sense of beauty, elegance, grace, passion and quality with classical mechanical clockmaking. In other words, we strive to create a perfect union of modernity, innovation and tradition in order to originate a timepiece of high quality that would last for generations.

Other prizes
In 2017, at the 75th International American Craft Contest, one of our timekeepers, Libra Kleio, was awarded two gold medals for “Single Train Clock Movements” and “Other Material Clock Cases” respectively, as well as one silver medal for “Experimental Timepiece Design”.
