The Ocke stool is an unique example of large scale 3d
printed designs, and was created especially for mass
production on FDM printing technology. Its complex
structure is unique, and can only be achieved through
FDM. FDM’s new technology allows design possibilities
that were unthinkable to create via traditional injection
molding techniques.

The Ocke stool’s unique design is also inspired by nature,
and designed to push the limits of FDM printing. The
tree-like design is based on the based on the Voronoi
structure. This organic fractal makes it a very stable self-
supporting, and self-reinforcing object, with a smart inner-
structure that uses little material and no waste. It uses the
maximum angles possible without support structure,
without post processing, making it ready to use the
moment it is hot off the machine.

Finally, it has a creative click-in upholstery system, which
uses soft seating ‘pedals' to be added or swapped
quickly and easily. These upholstered pedals are
available in a variety of colours and textures, and can
easily changed to fit the mood of the day.
