Piezo panels are a new form of wave power, which facilitate the transfer of energy from a waves Inertia through piezoelectric crystals into usable power.
With mass scale implementation around the UK, in specific areas including Cornwall, Dover and Scarborough, this product could generate enough carbon free energy to supply 2% of the UKs electricity demand, with potential for expansion and diversification.
The panels use a biomorphic form to blend with the natural environment and furthermore reduce coastal erosion by absorbing the frequent impact pressure that waves exert onto cliff faces.
