A techie founder-couple had a situation; a newborn who refused to sleep. They studied theories of sleep, paediatrician inputs and made a prototype that worked well. They worked with Ether Design for a complete rethink of architecture, modularity, shape & styling. We designed a form that was highly functional, lightweight and compact. The cradle’s features involve continuous intelligent baby monitoring, responsive behaviour using advanced camera technology, washable and naturally fitting sling, weight management around the hammock while holding the baby & an entertainment unit for the baby!

Bio
Makarand is an active design educator and a design columnist. He looks after all strategic design partnerships at Ether Design. He has 20 years of professional experience across product, web and communication. He is an Engineering graduate and also studied at the prestigious National Institute of Design in India.
