X-ray workstations are a basic component of urology departments. They are used for diagnostics and interventional procedures. If a stone is discovered in a patient's KUB-image, however, in many cases it is not possible to perform shockwave lithotripsy immediately.

The MODULITH® SLK »intelect« solves this problem: with this compact lithotripter, patients can be treated with shock waves directly on the table of an already existing urological workstation. The device can be installed without a great deal of effort and can be connected perfectly with various imaging systems. With this combination of devices, the high image quality of the X-ray system integrated in the workstation can be used to locate the stone and to perform in-line control during treatment. When the lithotripter is not in use, it can be easily removed from the workstation and stored to save space.

The aesthetic appearance of this innovative device is underlining its main characteristics: Mobility, Approachability and Flexibility in a very dynamic yet highly functional shape.
